Inspired by the Carnival festival season masquerades held throughout the world, and by the Traveling Carnivals (with rides and games of chance) found across much of America, these darkly whimsical sculptures invoke a sense exposing our hidden agendas.

Traveling Carnivals have always had an air of mystery, of disrepute, or perhaps a darker underbelly. Masks are used to hide who we are, but these sculptures use realism to unmask and reveal. Most of the sculptures in this series invite you to interact by rotating them to expose new views. They are one-of-a-kind mixed-media sculptures primarily hand-built from ceramic pieces.
